The closing date for entries is 15 May 2009 – so there’s plenty of time to get your entries in.
How to enter
Taking holiday pictures these days couldn’t be easier – and sending them in for judging will be easy, too.
Readers may submit up to six entries during the competition period, and they can be sent by post or e-mail.
Online – Send your entries as jpgs via the Holiday Villas website. They must be high resolution (minimum 300 dpi). See our online entry form below.
By post – Send prints by post to: Holiday Villas Photo Competition, Merricks Publishing, Wessex Buildings, Somerton Business Park, Somerton, Somerset TA11 6SB.
An entry form, published in Holiday Villas magazine, must be attached to each print, which must be no larger than 16" x 12".

The rules
- Entrants must be aged 21 or over, and residents of the UK or the Irish Republic.
- The prize-winners agree to accept the normal booking procedures and requirements of VillaSpain. The holiday must be taken, by arrangement with VillaSpain, between 1 October 2009 and 30 April 2010 (subject to availability and excluding Christmas and Easter).
- The winner agrees to pay for a) metered air conditioning and heating used during their stay at Villa Guapa and b) car hire excess in the event of damage, and petrol. Rental car drivers must be aged 22 or over, with driving licences held for a minimum of two years.
- No cash alternatives are available. The prize package is not transferable, and may not be raffled.
- If the winner is for any reason unable to take up their prize, Merricks Publishing will award it to an alternative winner. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Photographs will be accepted only on the understanding that they a) are the work of the entrant b) are not the result of a commission by a UK or Irish publication and c) have not been published previously in the UK or the Republic of Ireland.
- Entrants retain copyright, and Merricks Publishing accepts no liability in any copyright dispute that may arise. Holiday Villas reserves the right to publish – in print and on its website – submitted photographs without payment.
- Holiday Villas magazine cannot be held responsible for non-receipt, loss or damage to entries. Entries cannot be returned.Entries from employees of Merricks Publishing Ltd and VillaSpain, and members of their families, will not be accepted.
