An enchanting bergerie with the most spectacular views

Accommodates: 4
This tranquil little house is at Viggianello, a village directly east of the busy port of Propriano. Bergerie Tisoggiu is high in the hills and has commanding eye views over Propriano and the Bay of Valinco from the terrace. Reached by a steep, rough track up the maquis-covered hillside, the house is in a delightful situation with open grassy areas around the house providing alternative seating areas to the terrace. Last year a pool was a welcome addition and this, combined with the stunning views make this bergerie a very attractive holiday home for a couple or family who do not mind the steep hillside approach. The name of this house recounts its history, recently converted from a Bergerie, a stone-built mountain shelter for shepherds tending their flock, the house is surprisingly modern inside. The owners have retained the authentic, enhancing its rustic style, whilst renovating and extending to incorporate an open-plan living room and kitchen, ideal for holiday living. Wide sliding doors lead to the terrace with its dramatic views down the hillside and over the bay and many an hour can be spent just looking out over the amazing panorama. NB Taller people should note that there are two very low doorways.
