Menorca is the gentlest of the Balearic Islands, both in geography and in the attractions offered by its, generally more sedate, family-orientated holiday resorts.
The pace of life in Menorca is slower moving and the coastline ranges from tiny unspoilt coves to long sandy beaches, perfect for a relaxing villa holiday! Menorca is very popular for family villa holidays and its gently shelving beaches offer perfect conditions for water sports of all kinds. In the interior of Menorca the landscape is flat in the south, making it good for walking and cycling, and hillier in the north and west.
The best of the coastal resorts is probably Son Bou / San Jaime, with over a mile of soft, white sand. Popular with both the Spanish and visitors is Cala Galdana with its semi-circular bay and there are many attractive villa and apartment developments including Binibeca, Son Parc, Shangi-La / El Grao and Fornells.
The emphasis in the coastal resorts tends to be on holiday villas and apartments rather than hotels and there are plenty to choose from on our villa search pages. Here you will find agency and private villas and apartments for rent, many with pools, in both the coastal areas and in the interior of Menorca.
