This romantic and peaceful house which is beautifully decorated with some impressive antiques furniture is a gem. Set on 3700m2 of land the house has been recently built in  Roman style with stone colonnade and covered terrace surrounding the swimming pool.
The house is situated 10km from the ducal town of Uzès. This lively centre with restaurants, cafés and markets twice a week has a huge architectural and historic heritage. Little shaded lanes wind around the town encompassing numerous hotels, impressive private homes, towers, the cathedral, the Duchy and emerge on places with archways and fountains. Just 5km away are 2 good local restaurants called ''Bastide de Mamette'' and ''Olivier'', as well as a supermarket. An equestrian school is 2km away, and there is a 9 hole golf course near Uzes. The surrounding region is known as the Pays de l''Uzège. It is an area of perched villages with castles, stone cottages, hidden chapels and churches. It is also beautiful countryside with small rivers and natural garrigue for easy walking, cycling or long hikes. St Quentin la Poterie, Pouzilhac, Arpaillargues, Lussan are some of the lovely villages there that you should visit. Le Pont du Gard a UNESCO classified Roman aqueduct is 20 minutes away. The Roman centre of Nîmes is some 40 minutes drive and Avignon is about the same distance. Henry is the cat who lives at the house; he will be around and lets himself in through the cat door in the kitchen!
